About the Role
We are supporting a well-established cybersecurity company in Nicosia looking to hire a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their growing technical team. This role focuses on supporting the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity services across customer environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, administration, monitoring, and ongoing support of security technologies while contributing to the management and enhancement of key cybersecurity domains.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain core infrastructure and security systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to security systems, connectivity, access, and policies
- Respond to customer requests, alerts, and support cases with guidance from senior team members
- Assist with the deployment and administration of security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint security, email security, and related platforms
- Collaborate with other teams to support service delivery and operational excellence
- Contribute to internal process improvements and ensure compliance with security standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, or technical support
- Strong understanding of firewalling, networking fundamentals, and security controls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Familiarity with firewalling, endpoint security, patching, vulnerability management, or access management
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies such as Check Point, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
