The role involves procuring marine stores, spare parts, lubricants, and technical services for assigned vessels. Key responsibilities include reviewing requisitions, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders. The officer will also monitor and expedite orders, coordinate logistics with various parties, and maintain close communication with vessel and office personnel. This position requires liaising with technical, operations, and accounts departments, following up on order discrepancies, and maintaining accurate procurement records to support cost-control initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies.
