About the Role
A growing Family Office in Larnaca is seeking an Accountant to join its expanding team in a modern, international accounting environment. Open to candidates across career stages from junior accountants with strong fundamentals to experienced professionals, the role involves maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, managing reconciliations, supporting VAT and payroll, and preparing month-end and year-end audit files. The ideal candidate will enjoy structured work within a technology-oriented setting and have experience or willingness to work with systems like Odoo and eSoft.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of client companies
- Record and review invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and other accounting documents
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support or prepare VAT-related work including returns and supporting schedules
- Support or perform payroll processing, reconciliations, and employer-related accounting tasks
- Assist with recurring accounting and statutory deadlines while keeping documentation complete
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and accounting files for month-end, year-end, and external audit
- Communicate with clients regarding missing documents, accounting questions, and routine requests
- Work within internal procedures, review standards, and deadline controls using Odoo and eSoft
Requirements
- Education or professional background in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Good understanding of accounting principles and high attention to detail
- Practical experience in bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, or general accounting is preferred
- Strong general digital skills and disciplined handling of accounting data
- Good communication and teamwork skills with fluency in English; Greek is an advantage
- Ability to organise work around recurring deadlines and maintain reliable documentation
- Experience with Odoo or eSoft is an advantage but not mandatory
- Experience in professional services, accounting firm, or multi-client environment is a plus
