About the Role
Apserou Shiaka & Co is an accounting, audit and tax advisory firm serving local and international clients. The firm’s owners are Chartered Certified Accountants. The firm is seeking a full-time Accountant for its Nicosia office at 22A Evagora Pallikaridi, 2369 Agios Dometios. The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package based on their qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Receive, check and post accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices
- Process receipts and payments
- Communicate with clients
- Reconcile creditor and bank accounts
- Manage and file financial documentation
- Prepare VAT and VIES returns
- Prepare tax forms including IR63, IR7, IR614 and IR603
- Prepare and submit Social Insurance forms
Requirements
- LCCI Higher certification or a degree in Accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Fluency in spoken and written Greek and English
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Very good communication skills
- Knowledge of CaseWare will be considered an additional advantage
