    About the Role

    We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Accountant** to join our team at **MSI EXPERTS LTD** in Paphos. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, preparing VAT returns and reconciliations, assisting with payroll and tax matters, and supporting the preparation of accounts for audit purposes. The role also involves direct communication with clients and ensuring that all accounting work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Key Responsibilities
    • Maintain accurate accounting and bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
    • Record and review sales, purchases, expenses and bank transactions
    • Perform bank, debtor, creditor and other account reconciliations
    • Prepare and review Trial Balances
    • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
    • Assist with payroll and Social Insurance matters where required
    • Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation for audit purposes
    • Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding information and documentation
    • Ensure accounting records are completed accurately and within the required deadlines
    • Support the team with general accounting and tax-related matters

    Requirements

    • University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field will be considered an advantage
    • Previous experience in an accounting or audit firm will be considered a strong advantage
    • Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
    • Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and basic tax matters will be considered an advantage
    • Very good command of both Greek and English
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines
    • Professional attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
