About the Role

CareerFinders is seeking an Accounting Officer for an established Internet Marketing company in Limassol. Working within an existing Finance Team, the successful candidate will handle a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties to ensure the department operates smoothly. An academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields is desirable, and LCCI Higher holders are encouraged to apply. The role requires proven experience in a relevant position, sound knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures, and advanced MS Excel skills, including extensive work with tables, charts, and pivots. Excellent verbal and written English communication is essential, and SAP knowledge is a plus. This is a fully onsite position with working hours from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

General Bookkeeping & Accounting duties

Responsible for assisting in keeping proper books of accounts and financial records

Completing of VAT returns and VIES

Checking company bank statements

Conducting regular bank reconciliations

Preparation of reports for Management as and when required

Dealing with financial paperwork and filing

Assisting with Payroll

Auditors’ assistance in the form of providing explanations and documentation to the auditors

Requirements

Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance or related field is desirable, but not essential

Holders of the LCCI Higher certification are encouraged to apply

Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping is a must

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential

Knowledge of SAP will be considered an advantage

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Team spirit, good character and willingness to develop

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Good team player with a strong work ethic

Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a Team
