    About the Role

    CareerFinders is representing a reputable Law Firm in Nicosia, seeking an AML & Compliance Associate to join their growing team. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing the firm’s compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will prepare reports and required documentation for submission to relevant authorities and regulators, conduct KYC/CDD checks, perform risk assessments, and monitor transactions. The firm is looking for individuals with relevant academic qualifications and approximately 2+ years of experience in AML and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills in English and Greek are essential. An attractive remuneration package is offered, including a 13th and 14th salary, medical insurance, provident fund, and discretionary bonus.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and oversee the firm’s compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements
    • Ensure the firm complies with AML, CFT, and sanctions regulations
    • Conduct KYC/CDD checks, perform risk assessments, and monitor transactions
    • Prepare reports and required documentation for submission to relevant authorities and regulators
    • Prepare legal opinions related with AML, CFT, and sanctions regulations

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
    • Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience in AML & Regulatory compliance
    • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association encouraged to apply (not mandatory)
    • CySEC AML Certificate holder, or ICA AML Certificate for CBA Members
    • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken
    • Computer literate
    • Outstanding organizational and team working skills
    • Willingness to learn and evolve in a fast-paced environment
