About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a highly reputable and long-standing Group in the Travel & Tourism sector, based in Nicosia. The role involves supporting various accounting and bookkeeping functions, including maintaining accurate accounting records, issuing sales invoices, and performing regular reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with at least 1 year of proven experience in a similar role. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards is essential, along with excellent communication skills in both Greek and English. This position offers an attractive remuneration package, a Provident Fund, and regular working hours from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting books and records.
- Issue sales invoices and input purchase invoices.
- Perform monthly reconciliations (Bank, Visa, Petty Cash, Intercompany, Debtors, Creditors).
- Ensure internal and external deadlines are consistently met.
- Carry out any other accounting-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent command of Greek and fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
