About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking an Assistant to the Commercial & Procurement Manager for a well-established company in the dairy products sector in Cyprus. This role, based in Limassol, supports warehouse, procurement, and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years of experience in related fields and be fluent in both Greek and English. This is a hands-on, operational position suitable for an organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively coordinate multiple activities and priorities within a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, internal movements, and dispatches, ensuring all relevant transactions are accurately and promptly recorded in the company's information systems.
- Coordinate and manage orders from the warehouse to the factory departments, as well as customer orders from receipt through to preparation, including the preparation of Picking and Packing Lists, in accordance with the FIFO (First In, First Out) procedure.
- Prepare and issue the necessary documentation and invoices relating to orders and warehouse activities.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and finished products, ensuring inventory accuracy and the smooth operation of storage areas.
- Participate in regular stocktaking activities, investigating and reporting any stock discrepancies.
- Coordinate the procurement cycle to ensure the timely receipt and availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Record relevant supplier invoices and ensure that the Warehouse Manager is informed in a timely manner regarding scheduled deliveries.
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers, supporting a smooth and reliable supply process, maintaining material quality, and contributing to the optimisation of procurement costs.
- Work closely with the Production, Quality Control and Accounting Departments to ensure the efficient operation of the supply chain and the smooth flow of materials and finished products.
- Provide support to other departments when required and undertake additional responsibilities necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the company.
Requirements
- Previous experience of up to 2 years in warehouse operations, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong numerical and record-keeping skills, particularly in relation to inventory and documentation.
- Good computer literacy and confidence in using ERP, warehouse management, or other information systems is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, practical, and hands-on approach to work.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
