About the Role
Our client, a well-established and reputable professional services organisation in Nicosia, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of local and international clients while furthering leadership and technical expertise in a supportive, professional environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing audit engagements, coaching junior staff, reviewing IFRS financial statements and tax returns, and actively supporting practice development.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and provide high quality service within budgets and timeframes
- Monitor engagements, budgets, and planning of work, reporting to the Group Director and/or Partner
- Review audit team work to ensure compliance with ISAs and company audit methodology
- Communicate regularly with clients via email, phone, Teams, or in person
- Report to the Audit Director or Partner regarding audit status, progress, and completion
- Supervise, coach, and support junior team members
- Review and prepare financial statements under IFRSs
- Review and prepare client tax returns and tax computations
- Manage timely billing and fee collection from clients
- Prepare audit and advisory proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
- Qualified ACA or ACCA
- Over 5 years of related experience in an audit department of an accounting firm
- Over 2 years post-qualification experience in an audit department
- Excellent knowledge of Caseware and e-audit methodologies
- Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and team working skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and deliver high-level results
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, both verbal and written
- Good knowledge of the Cyprus tax framework
- Experience in advisory services is an advantage
