About the Role
CareerFinders, a leading independent audit and tax consulting firm in Cyprus, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team in Larnaca. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee audit engagements from start to completion, and contribute to both audit and tax advisory projects. This role operates within a collaborative hybrid work environment, requiring regular client site visits and occasional meetings. Applicants should possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, hold or be working towards a professional accounting qualification, and have at least 2 years of audit experience with strong assurance skills. Fluency in both Greek and English is essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients with allocated audit fee budget
- Plan, execute, and oversee audit engagements from start to completion
- Review financial statements for compliance with accounting/auditing standards
- Identify audit risks and provide practical recommendations to clients
- Contribute to tax consulting and advisory assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Monitor project budgets, deadlines, and deliverables
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting, auditing, and tax regulations
- Support continuous improvement of internal methodologies and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA) or working towards one
- 2+ years of experience in Audit
- Strong audit and assurance skills (planning, risk assessment, execution, financial statement review)
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency in analytical review, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Effective communication and client-facing skills
- Excellent knowledge of English and Greek (spoken, written)
