About the Role

Apserou Shiaka & Co is an accounting, audit and tax advisory firm serving local and international clients. The firm is looking for an ambitious, motivated person who is working towards ACCA or willing to do so, or holds a degree specialised in Accounting or the LCCI Higher Diploma. You will work closely with and assist the Manager at the Nicosia office (Evagoras Pallikarides 22A, 2369 Ayios Dometios, tel. 22424096).

Responsibilities

Perform audit work for local and international clients
Process financial statements under IFRS
Identify areas of risk and non-compliance and communicate them to the manager
Maintain accurate and organised audit files
Support various administrative tasks
Collaborate with accounting departments to obtain necessary information
Prepare tax computations and tax returns
Ensure work follows the firm's policy and standards

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and/or working towards ACCA (or willing to) and/or LCCI Higher
Ongoing education and staying up to date
CaseWare knowledge (training provided if not)
Professional conduct and good IT skills
Excellent analytical and written communication skills in Greek and English
Dynamic, committed and able to take initiative
Knowledge of IFRS and ISA
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet tight deadlines and achieve budget and performance objectives
