About the Role
Our client, a leading global financial services company, is seeking a proactive and talented Business Development Account Manager – a native Hungarian speaker who grew up in Hungary – to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus. In this full-time, on-site role, you will focus on expanding their presence in Hungary, leveraging your deep market insight and sales expertise. This position involves developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth in the Hungarian market, identifying and building relationships with potential clients, and negotiating partnership agreements. You will also collaborate with internal teams, track industry trends, represent the company at events, and report on performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to drive company’s growth in the Hungarian market
- Identify and build strong relationships with potential clients and partners, including financial institutions and fintech firms
- Negotiate and secure partnership agreements aligned with company goals
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to create tailored solutions for Hungarian clients
- Track industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and strengthen relationships in the region
- Report regularly to senior leadership on performance metrics and account activity
Requirements
- Native Hungarian speaker who was raised in Hungary and has an in-depth understanding of the local culture and business landscape
- Proven experience in business development, account management, sales, or a related field — ideally within the financial services industry
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic partnerships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to operate in a target-driven environment
- BA or MA in Business, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred)
