About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of a boutique Accounting Firm with expanding operations in Larnaca, is seeking a Client Bookkeeper to join their growing team. In this role, you will handle a diverse range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining general ledgers and financial records, ensuring compliance with Cyprus legislation and IFRS, and performing bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience, fluency in Greek and English, and proficiency in MS Excel. The firm offers hands-on training, flexible working hours, and hybrid working options following the probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining general ledgers and financial records
- Ensuring maintenance of proper books of accounts in accordance with Cyprus legislation and IFRS
- Carrying out bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
- Preparing financial reports as requested by the Financial Controller
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the smooth operation of the finance department
Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant
- LCCI Certificate or Degree in Accounting and Finance or relevant field
- Fluency in English and Greek languages
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure within deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting software Cycom - Sofia is an advantage
