    About the Role

    CareerFinders is seeking a CNC Operator for a long-established engineering company specializing in design and manufacturing solutions for the dairy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC Laser Cutting Machines for both plates and tubes, as well as CNC Press Machines for plates, within a sheet metal production environment. This role requires understanding task specifications from blueprints and mechanical drawings, supervising machine operations, making necessary adjustments, and inspecting finished products. The ideal applicant will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a keen desire to learn and develop in a fast-paced setting.     Responsibilities

    • Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for plates
    • Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for tubes
    • Operation of CNC Press Machine for plates
    • Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings
    • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to provide optimal results
    • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
    • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
    • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part
    • Attending workshops and training sessions, to learn from others and stay on top of the field needs

    Requirements

    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
    • Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is desirable
    • Proficiency with measuring tools and instruments
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
