About the Role
Our client, a long-standing collaborator in the food manufacturing sector, is known for delivering advanced engineering solutions and customized production systems. They are currently seeking a CNC Operator specializing in Sheet Metal Fabrication. This role involves operating and monitoring CNC Laser Cutting and Press Machines to fabricate sheet metal components. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding task specifications from blueprints, supervising machine operations, making necessary adjustments for optimal results, and inspecting finished products against requirements. Training will be provided for specific machine operations. The role also includes recording machine actions, communicating logistics issues, and participating in workshops to stay updated with field needs. Responsibilities
- Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for plates
- Operation of CNC Laser Cutting Machine for tubes
- Operation of CNC Press Machine for plates
- Understand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to provide optimal results
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
- Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part
- Attending workshops and training sessions, to learn from others and stay on top of the field needs
- Substitute the Cutting Services Manager when on absence
Requirements
- A degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field
- Mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills
- Ability to work in a team or alone
