About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking a Compliance Officer for an established Investment Firm located in Nicosia. This is a newly created, standalone position where the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company’s compliance activities, working closely with Senior Management. Our client is looking for degree-educated applicants with at least 2+ years of experience in the compliance field. Holders of professional compliance qualifications are encouraged to apply, and fluency in both Greek and English is essential. The role offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package, with working hours from 09:00 – 17:45 Monday to Thursday, and 09:00 – 16:30 on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Company’s compliance activities
- Develop and update corporate policies and procedures (AML, Due Diligence, Anti-bribery, and Corruption etc)
- Monitor compliance governance processes and reporting mechanisms
- Develop compliance monitoring plans and perform periodic reviews
- Identify compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and support teams in implementing effective controls
- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable Cyprus legislation and regulatory requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments of the company’s international operations
- Advise management on the impact of new laws and regulatory changes
- Coordinate with external legal advisors where specialist jurisdictional advice is required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
- Professional compliance qualification (advantageous)
- 2 - 4 years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or risk management
- Experience within international regulatory environments (advantageous)
- Fluency in Greek & English
