About the Role
Our client is a technology company operating in the maritime and aviation sectors, delivering a broad range of technology solutions to support industry operations. On behalf of our client we are seeking a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate possesses a strong affinity for automation, cloud architecture, and continuous integration, demonstrating a proactive mindset toward system resilience and scalability. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams—including development, quality assurance, and IT operations—you will streamline delivery pipelines, optimize infrastructure performance, and ensure platform integrity. Ultimately, your contributions will enable accelerated, secure deployments while maintaining the highest benchmarks of technical and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure environments (eg. Azure, AWS, Mendix)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, deployment and release management
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Core (IaC) practices and tools like Azure Bicep, Terraform, Ansible
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high system reliability and uptime
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Enhance security practices and ensure compliance across infrastructure and deployment processes
- Manage environment certificates and access control
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure, deployment processes, and system configurations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Azure Container Instances (ACI), Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Strong understanding of system architecture and networking
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern workflows
