    About the Role

The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European non-profit, science- and technology-oriented educational and research institution based in Nicosia, with five research centres (CaSToRC, STARC, EEWRC, CARE-C and STeDI-RC). The CARE-C Centre of Excellence invites applications for a faculty member at Associate or Full Professor level, full-time, at the Athalassa Campus in Nicosia. You will lead and grow CARE-C's Impact & Policy Department, turning the research of the Environmental Observations and Environmental Predictions departments into tangible impact, policy actions and decision-support frameworks, and building cross-cutting collaborations with other CARE-C departments and the STeDI Research Centre. The post is tenure-track or tenured for Associate Professor, or tenured for Full Professor — applicants should state which ranks they wish to be considered for. Starting salary: €70,731.57 gross per year (Associate Professor, CyI9.1) or €80,194.27 (Full Professor, CyI10.1); each completed year of previous experience at the same rank adds one pay step. To apply, submit through the Cyprus Institute Exelsys platform a structured CV, letter of interest, research statement, teaching statement, list of publications, five referees and three authored publications for review (English, PDF). Reference: CYI_FP_26_18. Deadline: 31 October 2026. Contact: Prof Jean Sciare (j.sciare@cyi.ac.cy).
