Founding AI Engineer (Conversational AI)

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Build conversational AI systems with consistent personas, long-term memory, and sales strategies
• Develop evaluation systems to measure AI performance against top human sellers and actual revenue
• Ensure production reliability, low latency, and cost efficiency
• Monitor, deploy, and maintain the system in production
• Hire and lead future engineers as the team grows

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ year delivering LLM features in production
• Experience building multi-turn conversational agents with long-term memory, tool calling, and session management
• Experience designing LLM evaluations, conversation testing, and A/B experiments
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or Python and PostgreSQL
• Proven experience owning production systems, including deployment, monitoring, and incident management
• Based in Cyprus or able to work remotely with at least four hours of overlap with European working hours
• Nice to have: Experience building AI companion, character-based, or sales chat products
• Nice to have: Experience deploying and fine-tuning open-weight language models
• Nice to have: Founding-stage experience, including hiring and leading engineers
