    About the Role

    CareerFinders, on behalf of an international manufacturer of machinery for the production of plastic bottles, is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer to join their growing team in Nicosia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing a range of products, systems, and processes, specifically focusing on programming and troubleshooting machine programmable logic controllers (PLCs), developing HMI software, and maintaining electrical and pneumatic drawings. Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to expand into programming Fanuc 6-axis robots and providing specialized technical support to clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Read, develop, test, and apply software programs for machine PLCs to perform new tasks or improve functionality
    • Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs to identify and resolve issues promptly
    • Develop, test, and apply software for HMI hardware
    • Learn to program Fanuc 6-axis robots
    • Read, design, and maintain Electrical & Pneumatic drawings for machines
    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and training manuals
    • Conduct training sessions to teach other internal teams
    • Provide technical support to customers for issues relating to PLC software
    • Perform electrical wiring of machines, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field
    • Strong proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder, Structured Text, or Continuous Function Chart
    • Knowledge of other languages such as Python and C++ is considered an advantage
    • Beckhoff Twincat 2 and 3 knowledge or similar environment
    • Solid understanding of PLCs and Industrial Automation
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively with high attention to detail
