About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and well-known global business services provider with offices in Nicosia, is seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their growing team. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will handle the preparation of accounting records, bank and creditors reconciliations, VAT and VIES returns, and direct client communication for credit control purposes. The role offers attractive benefits including a 13th salary and Provident Fund, along with early Friday finishes.
Responsibilities
- Manage client data
- Prepare accounting records, bank, and creditors reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and VIES returns
- Report and reconcile client account statements
- Communicate directly with clients exercising credit control
- Report directly to the Financial Controller
Requirements
- An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable
- Holders of LCCI Higher accounting certification or equivalent encouraged to apply
- 2+ years of proven work experience in a corporate, management or business services firm
- Experience dealing with local and international clients
- Fluency in English
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office)
- Sound organisational skills
- Dynamic person with ability to take initiative
