About the Role
Our client, a market-leading state-of-the-art engineering Firm with expanding operations in Cyprus, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing team in Limassol. This role involves assisting the Senior Accountant with recording invoices, payments, and daily accounting transactions, as well as supporting daily accounting tasks and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, possess approximately 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, and have previous accounting experience in the Cyprus market. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is essential.
Responsibilities
- Record invoices, payments and daily accounting transactions
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records
- Prepare bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents
- Support daily accounting tasks and financial reporting
- Scanning and filling of documents
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Previous accounting experience in the Cyprus market is essential
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good command of Greek and English
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team
