About the Role
Our client is expanding its technical team and is seeking a Middle-Tier Cybersecurity Engineer with strong hands-on experience in network security and firewall environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, supporting and maintaining modern cybersecurity solutions, including UTMs/NGFWs, enterprise anti-malware, SASE and ZTNA technologies.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and support UTMs / Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs).
- Support enterprise cybersecurity and endpoint protection solutions.
- Work with technologies including SASE, ZTNA and enterprise anti-malware.
- Configure and troubleshoot network security environments.
- Apply practical knowledge of switching, routing and wireless networking.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve security and connectivity issues.
- Assist with cybersecurity deployments, upgrades and client projects.
- Provide technical support both remotely and on-site.
- Work alongside senior engineers and the Technical Director on more complex security projects.
- Attend client sites across Cyprus when required.
- Reporting to: Senior Engineers, the Technical Director and/or relevant technical management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience setting up and supporting UTMs/NGFWs.
- Solid practical knowledge of: Switching, Routing, Wireless networking
- Networking security concepts, protocols and an overall security mindset are mandatory.
- Proven experience with Sophos XGS deployments/support is a strong advantage.
- Sophos certifications are a strong advantage.
- Experience with other enterprise firewall/security platforms is also relevant.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent/strong Greek and English are required.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Valid driving licence is essential.
