About the Role
Vasilico Chicken Farm Ltd, a leading egg producer in Cyprus, is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and responsible Maintenance & Repair Supervisor. This role involves the daily maintenance and operational support of our facilities, including the poultry farm, sorting station, and related infrastructure. The supervisor will be crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities, aiming to reduce breakdowns and maximize efficiency in a demanding agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment (sorting machines, belts, motors, ventilation, etc.)
- Organize and supervise technical and external crews
- Daily check of basic systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)
- Manage spare parts inventory and collaborate with administrative staff for orders
- Immediate response to emergency breakdowns
- Adherence to health & safety and biosecurity rules
- Record maintenance and repair history
- Collaborate with production and sorting teams for smooth operation
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical or industrial maintenance (at least 3 years)
- Experience in poultry farms, agricultural, or industrial food units is a significant advantage
- Practical knowledge in multiple technical specialties
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility in working hours and availability for immediate response to needs
- Forklift license or other machinery license is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and/or English
