About the Role
A multinational group of companies in the process industries is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the overall management and delivery of a wastewater treatment plant in Limassol. The successful candidate will ensure the uninterrupted, safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the facilities while directing operations staff, managing operating budgets, and liaising with statutory bodies and community groups.
Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted, safe, and cost-effective operation of the wastewater treatment facilities
- Ensure all activities comply with statutory, legal, health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Establish operating standards and implement standard operating procedures
- Liaise with community groups and regulatory authorities and maintain a complaints register
- Prepare operations budget, negotiate purchase agreements, and ensure operation within approved financial limits
- Manage human resources including hiring, performance assessments, training, and union liaisons
- Lead facilities toward third-party certification and ensure Quality Assurance System procedures are followed
- Ensure non-conformances, preventive actions, and corrective actions are documented and reported
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager or Contract Manager
- Minimum 10 years experience in wastewater plant operation with a capacity of at least 25000 m3 per day
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is essential
- Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) registration or equivalent recognised professional licence
