About the Role
An international advisory and fiduciary services firm is seeking a Portfolio Manager for its Cyprus-based AIFM in Larnaca. In this role, you will manage passive investment portfolios aligned with client objectives and risk profiles, oversee third-party AIFs and RAIFs under CySEC regulations, and coordinate closely with fund promoters and external service providers. The position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule along with comprehensive employee benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee third-party AIFs and RAIFs in accordance with investment strategies and CySEC regulations
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and compliance with leverage limits under AIFMD
- Coordinate with external promoters, investment advisors, and service providers for fund operations
- Prepare and review regular fund reports, investor updates, and regulatory submissions such as Annex IV
- Maintain communication with clients and fund promoters regarding investment activity and market trends
- Ensure adherence to the AIFMs compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks
- Support onboarding and due diligence for new funds and service providers
- Stay informed of CySEC, ESMA, and AIFMD regulatory developments
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA or CFA an advantage)
- CySEC Advanced Certificate required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- CySEC AML Certificate considered an advantage
- 1-3 years of experience in portfolio management within an AIFM, investment firm, or financial institution
- Strong understanding of alternative investment strategies and the Cyprus fund industry
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg fund industry is an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Strong attention to detail with focus on portfolio construction and risk limits
