About the Role
Our client, a leading property management service provider, is seeking a Property Lawyer to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus. This role involves drafting and reviewing various property-related legal documents, managing conveyancing transactions from start to finish, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, governmental authorities, and financial institutions, manage correspondence, and maintain meticulous records. Key responsibilities also include preparing corporate documents, conducting KYC and due diligence processes, and collaborating with internal departments and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Drafts and reviews property-related contracts, reservation agreements, and leasing agreements
- Manages conveyancing transactions from initiation to completion
- Liaises with clients, governmental authorities, and financial institutions
- Submits necessary documentation through governmental portals
- Manages outgoing and incoming correspondence and maintains records
- Prepares essential corporate documents for compliance department
- Maintains organized record-keeping systems
- Collaborates with internal departments to ensure alignment with objectives
- Conducts KYC and due diligence processes
- Drafts various corporate documents like minutes, resolutions, and powers of attorney
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent, Master’s degree an advantage
- 5-7 years of experience in property law and conveyancing
- Exposure to Cypriot property law, leasing, contract law, and real estate transactions
- Strong understanding of Property Law and conveyancing procedures in Cyprus
- Familiarity with KYC and due diligence requirements
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing property contracts and agreements
- Proficient in MS Office and legal document management software
- Excellent communication in English
- Experience in corporate law will be considered an asset
