About the Role
Our client is a technology company operating in the maritime and aviation sectors, delivering a broad range of technology solutions to support industry operations. We are seeking a QA Engineer who possesses a strong commitment to software excellence and testing standards, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to defect prevention and system reliability. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and DevOps, you will evaluate platform functionality and elevate testing frameworks to satisfy the highest performance and security metrics. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable solutions that underpin our digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are testable and complete
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional team members to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and sign off on releases
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing for new and existing features
- Ensure adequate test coverage for every feature and product release
- Perform end-to-end testing activities including functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
- Execute API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate system integrations
- Write SQL queries to validate data integrity and investigate backend issues
- Identify, investigate, and document defects, system issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Perform root cause analysis on reported issues and track defects through their full lifecycle
- Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues throughout the development cycle
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven experience executing functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing
- Experience creating, maintaining, and executing test cases and test plans
- Strong ability to identify, document, and troubleshoot software defects
- Experience testing web and mobile applications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman or similar)
- Working knowledge of SQL – able to write queries, validate data, and investigate issues
- Practical experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or similar
