About the Role
The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European non-profit, science- and technology-oriented educational and research institution based in Nicosia, with five research centres (CaSToRC, STARC, EEWRC, CARE-C and STeDI-RC). The STARC Centre is looking for a motivated Research Technical Assistant to join, full-time, at the Athalassa Campus in Nicosia. You will be part of the team creating 3D models of historical buildings, archaeological sites and cities for interactive visualisation — producing 3D scenes, building new interactive and immersive applications, contributing to existing Virtual Reality software, troubleshooting issues and optimising 3D mesh models for VR. Initial appointment: 12 months, renewable depending on performance and funding. Salary band CYI2 — starting salary CYI2.1 €24,882.65 gross per year. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Computer Science, Computer Graphics or related field is an advantage
- Experience and proficiency with 3D modelling and rendering engines (e.g. 3ds Max, Rhino)
- Excellent English, written and verbal
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Master's degree and interactive visualisation experience preferred
