About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking a Safer Gambling and AML Analyst for a well-established iGaming company in Limassol. This role involves assessing customer interactions, applying regulatory requirements, and balancing customer protection with operational efficiency. While previous experience in AML, Responsible Gambling, or Back Office operations, or a degree in Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or Economics is advantageous, it is not strictly required. The position offers hybrid working options after a probationary period, with working hours from Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00). The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing improvements and collaborate with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Conducting Safer Gambling customer interactions via live chat in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Assessing customer behaviour and responding appropriately during sensitive conversations, recognising when escalation is required
- Applying licence-specific Safer Gambling and AML procedures accurately and consistently
- Reviewing customer accounts and relevant information using multiple internal systems
- Making informed decisions based on available information while recognising when further guidance or escalation is required
- Recording clear, accurate, and comprehensive case notes
- Following internal procedures and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Supporting ongoing improvements by adapting quickly to new processes, regulatory changes, and operational requirements
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Compliance, Customer Operations, Payments, and other departments
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Law, Business Admin, Economics) considered an advantage but not essential
- Previous experience in AML, Responsible Gambling, or Back Office operations considered an advantage but not required
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, and systems
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to make confident, well-reasoned decisions based on policies and information
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Excellent reading comprehension with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for sensitive interactions
- Proactive, accountable, and able to take ownership of tasks, knowing when to escalate
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise and multitask
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness in handling confidential information
