About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking a Sales Engineer for an established technology company in Nicosia, specializing in automation and security solutions for residential and commercial properties. The role involves installing, connecting, and setting up various automation and security systems. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with prior experience in technical sales or sales engineering. Experience with automation, networking, audio/video, or security systems is essential. Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English are mandatory. The position offers an attractive remuneration package, including a 13th salary, based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings and project specifications
- Prepare system designs and preliminary solution proposals
- Develop technical and commercial quotations for automation and security systems
- Select suitable equipment and prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and cost estimates
- Prepare engineering calculations where required
- Design solutions for Home & Building Automation; Audio & Video Systems; Wired & Wireless Networks; Energy Management; Lighting & Shading Control; Security Systems
- Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Meet with customers to understand project requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Present technical solutions and proposals to customers
- Collaborate closely with the design, project management, and installation teams
- Maintain excellent customer relationships throughout the sales cycle
- Support project handover to the engineering team after project award
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, quality, and customer service
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in technical sales or sales engineering
- Experience with automation, networking, audio/video, or security systems
- Relevant industry certifications
- Experience preparing technical quotations and project cost estimates
- Strong interest in engineering, automation, and technology
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Greek and English
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's licence
- Clean criminal record
