About the Role
Our client, a boutique provider of Corporate, Legal, Banking & Migration services, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Ayia Napa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. They are looking for applicants with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, possessing approximately 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a proven track record. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, alongside a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations. This role offers a highly competitive remuneration package based on skills and experience, with working hours from 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local tax regulations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and promptness
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information clearly to clients and team members
- A self-starter who takes initiative and is committed to achieving results
