About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of their client, an independent advisory, accounting, and corporate services firm in Nicosia, is seeking a Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of international clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting the preparation of group/consolidated financial information, and handling intercompany reconciliations and adjustments. The ideal applicant will be ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the final stages, with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in a professional or corporate services environment. Essential requirements include exposure to group structures and consolidation processes, along with a good understanding of IFRS or similar reporting frameworks. Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of international clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services
- Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts
- Support the preparation of group/consolidated financial information, including intercompany reconciliations and adjustments
- Analyse accounting data and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
- Liaise with clients on financial information and reporting requirements
- Coordinate and support external audit processes
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACA/ACCA qualified or in the final stages of achieving the qualification
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a professional or corporate services environment
- Exposure to group structures and consolidation processes is a must
- Good understanding of IFRS or similar reporting frameworks
- Experience working with international clients is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Good communication skills, including client interaction
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach
