About the Role
Our client is an established boutique firm founded in 2009 in Larnaca, Cyprus, providing bespoke legal, tax, and accounting solutions to a wide range of clients. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will take charge of preparing and reviewing monthly and annual financial statements, handling VAT and VIES submissions, executing bank and general ledger reconciliations, and liaising directly with auditors during year-end procedures.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements
- Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES and other tax-related returns
- Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Preparation of management reports and financial analysis
- Handling year-end procedures and communication with auditors
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Good knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e-soft)
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Professional accounting qualification or relevant studies would be an advantage
