About the Role
Our client, a member of a reputable International Group with offices across Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Cyprus, is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join their expanding team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will provide accounting and bookkeeping services to an international portfolio of investment holding and trading clients while collaborating closely with a dynamic cross-border team. Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and recording all transactions in accounting software for international clients
- Preparing quarterly Management Accounts and annual Financial Statements
- Collaborating closely with Directors and Corporate Administrators on daily matters and projects
- Reviewing the work of team members and offering guidance to junior staff
- Communicating with clients regarding accounting matters and tax obligations
- Liaising with external auditors and supervising audit file preparation
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Qualified or partly qualified ACA or ACCA
- At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Auditor
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent command of verbal and written English
- Strong knowledge of IAS and IFRS standards
- Familiarity with accounting software such as E-soft or Xero is an advantage
- Knowledge of Caseware and financial statement preparation is an advantage
- Experience with VAT, VIES submissions, financial instruments, or Trusts is a plus
