About the Role
Apserou Shiaka & Co is an accounting, audit and tax advisory firm serving local and international clients. The firm's owners are Chartered Certified Accountants. The firm is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant for its Nicosia office at Evagoras Pallikarides 22A, 2369 Ayios Dometios (tel. 22424096).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process financial statements under IFRS
- Examine, analyse and reconcile financial records including bank statements, dividends, budgets, loans, payroll, debtors and creditors
- Prepare the audit file to support auditors in line with auditing standards
- Keep the client's permanent file up to date
- Prepare and file tax returns (e.g. IR1, IR4, IR7, IR603, IR614) on time and accurately
- Ensure compliance with tax and government regulations
- Ensure work follows the firm's policies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- ACCA completed or in progress
- CaseWare knowledge
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills in Greek and English
- Dynamic, committed and able to take initiative
- Professional conduct
- Good IT skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and follow changes
