About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Financial Services regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, is seeking a Senior Finance Accountant to join their growing team in Limassol. As a Senior Finance Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance function, gaining exposure to financial reporting, month-end processes, regulatory requirements, and the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing financial services business. Our client seeks applicants who are newly or partly qualified ACA/ACCA and have previous experience within an audit firm or professional services. You will need a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and advanced Excel skills. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer.
Responsibilities
- Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial reports, KPIs, and performance analysis for Senior Management.
- Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies.
- Assuming responsibility for the daily client money reconciliation and other client money issues including the annual audit.
- Driving continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Partnering with stakeholders to provide financial insight and support commercial decision-making.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning.
- Leading or contributing to finance transformation initiatives and strategic projects.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the finance team.
Requirements
- Newly (or partly) qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Previous experience within an audit firm or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems will be considered an advantage.
- Interest in fintech, financial services, and technology-driven businesses.
