About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of their client, a boutique Law Firm offering a wide range of legal services, is seeking to recruit a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will handle various litigation cases, including corporate and commercial disputes, and be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, pleadings, and written addresses. This role offers an attractive remuneration package, including a 13th salary and a discretionary bonus, along with ongoing opportunities for professional growth and development. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation cases, including corporate/commercial litigation
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, pleadings, written addresses, and other legal documents
- Provide legal advice on corporate/commercial litigation matters
- Undertake legal research
- Liaise with clients, other professional advisers, and public/regulatory authorities as necessary
Requirements
- University degree in Law; LLM and/or BPTC an additional advantage
- Qualified lawyer in Cyprus, full member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Approximately 5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial and corporate litigation
- Excellent command of English and Greek, both verbal and written
- Experience in conducting court hearings before District Courts and the Supreme Court
- Practical experience in drafting pleadings, legal opinions, and other legal documents
- Ability to conduct legal research using tools like CyLaw, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, and legal textbooks
- Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
