About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of their client, an established Law Firm offering a range of legal services including Corporate, Commercial and Dispute Resolution, is seeking to recruit a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling various litigation cases and will be adept at providing expert legal counsel, strategic advice, and representation to clients during court proceedings. Applicants should be educated to degree level in Law, be a full member of the Cyprus Bar Association, and possess approximately 4+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in Litigation. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek & English is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to analyse and interpret laws, regulations, and precedents
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals
- Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information and evidence
- Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes
- Collaborate with colleagues, experts, and consultants to build strong cases
- Manage case-related tasks, including documentation, deadlines, and court appearances
- Stay current with legal developments and trends and apply this knowledge to cases
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and records
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in Law
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Approximately 4+ years post-qualification experience in litigation
- Excellent command of Greek and English language, both written and spoken
- Computer literate
- Ability to multitask and use critical judgment
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
