    About the Role

    CareerFinders, on behalf of their client, a versatile and innovative technology company that has been enabling digital transformation solutions for financial institutions in more than 30 countries worldwide, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Senior Software Developer, you will develop, test, debug and upgrade software based on specifications, as well as consider code integrity and maintain versioning standards within each rollout. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related fields, possessing at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience with Java programming language and core front-end technologies is essential. The client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, including a 13th Salary and Provident Fund.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, test, debug and upgrade software based on specifications
    • Consider code integrity and maintain versioning standards within each rollout
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Present ideas for system improvements
    • Lead/Coach other software developers
    • Provide analysis and effort estimation

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
    • Experience with Java programming language
    • Experience with communication standards/protocols (JSON, XML, SOAP)
    • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
    • Knowledge of Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
    • Knowledge of Frameworks (J2EE, Hibernate, JSF)
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
    • Technical analysis and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies
