About the Role
CareerFinders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a boutique group of technology companies specializing in information security. The successful candidate will research, evaluate, and synthesize technical information to design, develop, and test systems. This role requires a degree in a relevant field and at least 4 years of hands-on software development experience. Candidates should have a strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications. Experience in FinTech or RegTech is considered an advantage. This is an onsite position in Larnaca, offering an attractive remuneration package based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect and document requirements and develop specifications
- Research, evaluate, and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test systems
- Develop data, process, and models to optimize architecture and to evaluate performance/reliability of designs
- Plan, design, and coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of systems
- Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for applications
- Lead and coordinate teams in the development of software and integrated information systems
- Work with other teams to ensure quality delivery of world-class applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years in software development with strong hands-on experience
- 1+ years of active team management experience
- Knowledge in web technologies, frameworks, data structures, and design patterns
- Proficiency with database systems
- Experience in development and integration of APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Strong track record in designing and developing high-quality applications
- Familiarity with ETL tools (plus)
- Experience in FinTech or RegTech (plus)
- Experience working with business analytics (plus)
- Comfort working across the entire tech stack and willingness to jump in where needed
- Able to take initiative and solve problems with minimal supervision
- Write clean, maintainable code and care deeply about quality
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
