About the Role
CareerFinders, on behalf of their client, a versatile and innovative technology company that has been enabling digital transformation solutions for financial institutions in more than 30 countries worldwide, is seeking to recruit a Software Developer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will develop, test, debug and upgrade software based on specifications, as well as consider code integrity and maintain versioning standards within each rollout. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience with the Java programming language, along with front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS is a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, including a 13th Salary and Provident Fund.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug and upgrade software based on specifications
- Consider code integrity and maintain versioning standards within each rollout
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Present ideas for system improvements
- Provide analysis and effort estimation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with Java programming language, communication standards/protocols (JSON, XML, SOAP) and front-end technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
- Knowledge of Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and Frameworks (J2EE, Hibernate, JSF)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Technical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies
