About the Role
Our client, a Cyprus-registered company with a showroom in Nicosia, is seeking a Workshop Manager / Senior Technician. This hybrid role combines management responsibilities with advanced diagnostics and repair work, covering both electric cars and EV/ICE scooters. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of e-scooters, petrol scooters, AC/DC chargers, and electric vehicles, ensuring high-quality technical operations at the multi-brand repair facility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day service operations and staff scheduling
- Ensure timely, high-quality repairs for scooters, EVs, and traditional cars
- Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Perform expert diagnostics and repairs
- Test vehicles post-repair for accuracy and safety
- Stay updated on EV systems and diagnostic tools
- Train and mentor mechanics and junior technicians
- Conduct regular technical briefings and workshops
- Support service advisors with technical explanations
- Handle complex customer concerns professionally
- Manage tool calibration, workshop equipment, and parts stock
- Liaise with suppliers for EV and petrol parts availability
- Ensure service records, warranties, and quality checks are maintained
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on repair experience
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Skilled in EV systems and conventional powertrains
- ASE or manufacturer-specific certifications preferred
- High-level technical and problem-solving ability
- Team leadership and time management
