Internships & Placements in Cyprus

A guide for students at every Cyprus university: how placements work, check whether you can work as a non-EU student, and understand Erasmus+ traineeships.

Three kinds of student work in Cyprus

    • Degree placement (internship) — part of your studies, agreed in writing between you, your university and the company. Usually 1–6 months.
    • Part-time student job — paid work within your student permit limits (20h/week in semester, 38h/week in official holidays for non-EU students).
    • Graduate / entry-level job — a permanent, usually full-time role for final-year students and recent graduates. This is not an internship.

    How to find a placement

    1. Ask your university career office whether your degree includes a placement and which companies they work with.
    2. Open your university page on Kyprium and filter jobs by experience, job type and visa / work right.
    3. Look for the 🎓 “Students welcome” badge — those employers have said they accept students.
    4. In your application, say clearly whether you are looking for a placement, part-time hours or a full-time job.

    For employers

When you post a role, tick “Open to Non-EU students” if you accept students on permitted hours or university placements, so students can find it.
